Cask at Churchill’s, Ramsgate: Not impressed with this beer. Overly sweet and very cloying, also a strange harshness to it. I’ve tried it a couple of times now and I just don’t like it.

Cask @ Market Porter Clear dark amber with medium off white head. Sweet fruity aroma with roasted malt and caramel. Sweet flavor with roasted malt, caramel and hops. Soft mouthfeel and a mild bitter end.

Cask @ The Wenlock Arms, London.
Pours dark golden with a nice, small, creamy white head. Aroma is soft, some vanilla and flowery hops - some roses, even. Quite lively mouthfeel for a cask ale - maksing it rather fresh. Lovely bitter flavour, lots of fruity and flowery hops. Wonderful dryness. Gimme more!
