July 2008 Kent Beer Fest, The Cow Shed, Canterbury. Dark copper colour. Decent enough traditional session bitter. [2.9]
July, 2009 Whitstable Brewery Bar, Whitstable seafront A decent session bitter - some hop awareness and fruity malt. Good drink - though feels a bit thin and sugary. [3.0]

Cask at Wellington Arms, Bedford. Amber with a small white head. Sweet malty aroma. Taste is fresh and fruity, maybe raspberry, with a hint of tea. Mid bitter finish. I liked this.

Cask with Mes at the Market Porter, 2nd Sept 2007. Clear light amber looks. Sweet caramel aroma and a strong, basic flavour of hops and malt. Decent mouthfeel and a long finish. Not much to wax lyrical about but a good everyday session bitter..

A Mes rate: Cask at the Market Porter. Nice mid amber colour. Sweet caramel malt aroma with some grassy hoppage underneath. More sweetish caramel malt in the flavour with a dusty and fruity finish. Mellow and drinkable lower abv stuff.

Cask served at East Quay Bar in Whitstable. Standard ale colour, very flat and too cold. Rather watery, with dry, earthy finish but little hop character. The fact you get it in a plastic pint ’glass’ (especially in the depths of winter when you’re not going to take it out onto the beach) knocks a couple of points straight off the overall.

Cask/gravity at The St Albans Beer Festival 29 Sep 06. Brown coloured. No head. Watery flavour. Found some sweetness in the finish.

Clear amber body with no head. Light malty to the nose - but very poor on aroma. Flavour has got some hints of berries and a not too pleasant grainy bitterness in finish (Half on gravity dispense at The St Albans BF, 29.09.2006).

(Cask at Akkurat, Stockholm, 20 June) Colour is dark copper, with a foamy, lasting head. Nose is malty and fruity, with a nice character of dusty hops and sewage. Taste is malty and fruity, with the same dusty hop character and a long, balanced, bitter finish. Rather dry. Very nice and tasty regarding the low abv.
