| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 14/20 | Jun 4, 2006 [Cask at Oliver Twist, Stockholm] Very black with small beige head. Dry with light body and soft mouthfeel. Lightly salty and discretely flavourful. There’s roasty malt and tobacco. The hop rate is fairly low, so the lightly salty finish has less than medium bitterness. An excellently balanced session stout. The antipode to US microbrews. fonefan (11888), VestJylland, Denmark

Good fullness, richness in the mouth, hinting at the richness of oysters. Sharpness on finish. bit too much burnt malt maybe, but actually a very good half. Maybe even a bit too rich for me. Tasty and well put together. Some blackberry fruit. TBone (6850), Pori, Finland

Opaque black color, small beige head. Strong licorice aroma, some coffee. Flavor is lighter than aroma. It has dark coffee, some milk chocolate and other toasted flavors. Very good flavor but overall too light. Maybe ok with oysters.
