Comments: Cask- Wenlock Arms. Kinda rough chalky finish strongly diminishes this otherwise pleasant golden ale.
chriso (4665), London, Greater London, England Aug 13, 2007 Cask (handpump) at the Wenlock Arms, Islington. Nor sure whether this is a one-off special or a new regular summer seasonal - I guess we’ll find out next year as there’s no mention of it on the brewery website. Mid gold, with a loose white head. Scant aroma - just a touch of citrus. Much more lemony citrus in the flavour. Mouthfeel is clean but a little short of bite. A respectable, if unspectacular, refreshing summer ale nonetheless.
harrisoni (6703), Ashford, Kent, England Jul 24, 2007 Cask gravity at Kent BF, Canterbury. Gold with lasting off white head. Some citrus on aroma, good condition, reasonable hop on end. After drinking Dark Star Hophead though, this was a tad bland.
