Opaque gold colour with more banana than the other wheat beers I tried at the festival. Some lemon on finish. Fine, but not impressive MesandSim (5955), London, Greater London, England

Yup, that’s a wheaty aroma. Hops are ok, slight lemony note, very perfumed. Light and breezy flavour with a sparkly effervescent feel. The alcohol is totally hidden, it drinks like a 3% beer. Light sourness and just all round a spritzy and cheeky little number. Salty / mineral finish. I quite like it. No world beater but enjoyable enough. duff (5475), Surrey, Greater London, England
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 27, 2003 Pretty nice. Classic wheat beer characterisitics such as banana, clove, wheat, some paint in the aroma. Has some lovely refreshing tartness. Some fat oilyness, refreshing, and a touch dull, but i liked it, tasted more German, than it did Belgian Wit as it is listed as above (Cask KentBF03') HarryFlashman (469), Chatham, Kent, England

Not too bad this. A fairly authentic tasting Wheat Beer from the Whitstable boys, which according to ratebeer are based in Maidstone (which is frankly bollocks). Anyway, cloudy, sweet/citrusy and fairly smooth. Hasn’t quite got the kick and hops of a classic wheat beer, but not at all bad and certainly very drinkable! lagomswedish (213), Umeå, Sweden

Cask at the East Quay Bar in Whitstable. Cloudy pilsner in appearance, with minimal head. Quite an initial fruit burst, with banana and wheat. A nice sweet/tart contrast in the middle lifts this beer, making it the most enjoyable Whitstable Brewery beer I had in an afternoon session on the beach sheltering from the winter weather. faroeviking (6127), BjórtjóðveldiðBjórheimBjórsins, Faroe Islands

Malty, fruity, slightly yeasty nose with toffee, banana and wheat-flour dough. Malty, fruity taste with notes of banana, toffee, white bread and a distinct wheat character. Low bitterness. Rather sweet, with a smooth mouthfeel. Decent shot at the style. Nuffield (2728), Roseville, Minnesota, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jul 27, 2003 Pear juice color--hazy, unique appearance. Strong banana, clove aroma with a healty dimension of "paint". Interesting but off-balance flavors. Dull, slightly watery palate. This shouldn't be a gravity-pour, as it depends a bit on the vivacity of carbonation to drive it. This was brewed not long after the takeover of Swale by new owners (using same brewing plant and most recipes). (gravity pour at 2003 Kent Beer Festival)
