eaglefan538 (2355), Wilmington, Delaware, USA Jun 1, 2008 Pour was typical for the style, dark black bod, chocolate type colored head. Lacing was only ok. The aroma was milky chocolate, light dry roast. The flavor followed, lots of milky sweet chocolate, too much lactic for a dry stout, but an ok average stout otherwise. Mouthfeel was thin to milky, a touch of stickiness. omhper (12154), Stockholm, Sweden May 30, 2008 Bottled at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Transparent ruby/black, small head. Roasty aroma with licorice and tobacco. Dry and clean with slim body. Some coffee and grapefruit, salty with notes of tobacco. Medium bitterness. A relatively drinkable laid back stout with a couple of sharp edges. Ughsmash (3981), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA May 29, 2008 Thanks to Markus for the bottle! Poured clear reddish-brown with a tall, fluffy cap of beige head and lots of rising carbonation. The aroma picked up sweet, sweet chocolate cake with milk chocolate and light earthy notes.. soft and enjoyable. The flavor was your classic dry stout with a little extra alcohol and body.. baker’s chocolate at the core surrounded by coffee grounds and faint smoke.. tacky chocolate on the finish. Medium-bodied and dry on the palate with a sourness that didn’t work too well.. tackiness held it up at points, keeping it from moving smoothly across the palate (I get that in a lot of "organic" beers.. not sure why). Wulfstan (509), California, USA May 28, 2008 This is almost black, faintly reddish brown with a very big tan head steadily shrinking to a smaller, lasting head and it leaves a tiny bit of weak lace. The aroma is chocolate, coffee, lightly burnt roasted grain and wood, smokey prunes and fruit, overall not bad and fairly full. The taste is ok at first, with chocolate, coffee, strong but fairly smooth roastiness, light sweetness and light spicey bitterness. However, it’s not great and it soon deteriorates and, ironically, gets worse as it warms. It gets more pungently spicey, very peppery, with a stronger fermented prune quality, yet lacks the body and depth to cary any of this. It is not very drinkable but I can see how someone might kind of like it. baggio (195), norrtälje, Sweden May 24, 2008 Bottle@Oliver Twist in Stockholm

17thfloor (1403), Chicago, Illinois, USA May 17, 2008 [Thanks Davinici] Pours a dark murky thin rootbeer like color with some off-white froth on top. Milk-chocolate and coffee aroma. Flavor is pretty straight forward, light milk-chocolate. Dry finish. Carbonation is pretty extreme and the body is quite light and airy. mgumby10 (1844), Jupiter, Florida, USA May 10, 2008 Pours a dark brown with a thin, light tan head. Big, sweet, syrupy malt aromas fill the air, along with some caramel, and chocolate cream. Maybe some toffee and gingerbread as well. The flavor has a good dose of coffee and caramel mixed. Pretty sweet with some chocolate syrup notes in there too. Really surprised me how profound the flavors were. Just medium bodied, but had some roasty characters to it as well. A bit sticky and syrupy on the palate, and finishes dry and sweet. I wasnt expecting much to be honest, but very drinkable. joet (1699), Fulton, California, USA May 10, 2008 Very dark brown, fresh aromas, touch of worty flavors, sweetnes in the aroma with cocoas, not much body, finises with a touch of effervescence.
