Three fingers of fairly lumpy tan head. Aroma of chocolate and coffee. Mouthfeel fairly smooth, medium hefty. Lots of patches and light broken rings of lacing. Flavor is pretty much straight up dark and milk chocolate and coffee roast. A bit of bitterness sneaks up on back end. Very light grassiness toward finish. Fairly nice stout although kind of unremarkable - could be a little more aggressive. checkmatei1 (630), Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 3, 2008 Pours almost pitch black with a good fingers worth of tan head. Aroma is a lot of roast and some coffee. Flavor is more of the same. It’s got a nice taste on the front, but the backend is a little bitter. It is fairly smooth drinking though if a little watery..
