| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 31, 2005 Whole Foods, Sandy Springs, Ga. - 12 oz bottle. Very dark, ruby red - brown cola like pour without the fizziness - not much of a head, what’s there is khaki-colored. Bittersweet chocolatey and earthy aroma. Flavor has a bit of that earthiness as well with some bittersweet chocolate seeping through and a back end of French Roast Coffee. Faint traces of licorice in there as well. Mouthfeel is a tad thin for a stout. All in all, just a tad above average, had much better from North Coast. GeneralGao (3071), Iowa City, Iowa, USA
