| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 26, 2006 Dark reddish-brown color with a lot of light penetration. Medium thin beige head that lasts pretty well, and thin sheets of lacing. Aroma of roasted malt and coffee. Medium-bodied and creamy with lots of roasted coffee flavor throughout. Other flavors like chocolate and malt are not as consistent though. The finish is mildly bitter coffee and a little watery. Above average overall, and not by far. Sweet aroma of sugared coffee, malt and dark chocolate, darkest brown, ruby at the edges, small toffee head. Taste is a sweet toasted malt, chicory, burnt toast. Medium bodied, very well balanced, sweet, dry and bitter all at once. Terrific. Thanks Radek Kliber.

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 1, 2006 Dark amber color, not totally opaque, with thin tan head. Aroma is very roasty, chocolate malt and sweet molasses. Classic stout flavor. Pretty much all the aroma notes plus I taste a bit of black patent. Pretty good stout but not more. after4ever (2840), Brier, Washington, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 31, 2007 12-oz. Black with a thick moussy tan head. Fairly light nose of semi-sweet baking chocolate, but even that is dusty and subdued. Body’s a little on the low side of medium, with active carb. There’s a big bold roasty note about halfway through the mid-palate, that falls into a lightly spicy and peppery finish. It’s simple, maybe a bit too much so, and very direct, but it showcases well the benefit of choosing one nice bold note to emphasize and leaving everything else around just to stabilize it. Still, I can see why they put it out for private label rather than bragging about it too much by putting their own name on it--’cause it’s pretty darn good, but not really great. beerinmarch (2829), Washington, USA

Smooth on the palate with a good body to it. Pours dark borwn witha small tan head. Very well built stout balancing a good chocolate character with a lightly hoppy bitter finish. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 25, 2006 Murky and deep dark brown. Quickly fading tan head. Curious mouthfeel ... seemed much too light at times and OK in others. Malts were richly flavored, with bold elements of dark chocolate, coffee with cream and a caramel-sweet base. Roasty aromas were really nice, with notes of charred wood, black patent and bitter baker’s chocolate. Beershine (2754), Traipsing Around, Cambodia
