Commercial Description:
Brewed for Whole Foods. Old Plowshare is a full-flavored Celtic style Stout. Smooth and firm-bodied with the bold flavor notes of dark roasted malts. Because Old Plowshare is organic it remains true to the time-honored Irish tradition of respect for natural ingredients. A great pub classic or the perfect Black and Tan.

Pours out a deep dark brown color with a small tan head. Flavor is nice and malty. Aroma is malty and has nice hints of chocolate. Over all a nice brew.

Pours deep brown with a large beige head. Great roasted coffee aroma with hints of milk chocolate. Big roasted malt flavor up front. It fades away quickly, with a slight sourness on the tail. As short as the initial flavor is, the finish is long: nutty, bitter coffee. Almost espresso-ish. Actually, the finish is exactly like espresso. Good stuff.

Mildly roasted malt aroma and scant else. A sorta dark brown/black with some amber tinting and a bubbly, diminishing, thumb thick tan head. Flavor has a bit of a cola/tobacco tinge int he fore followed by some brown sugar and tea-like sweetness. I seriously get hints of chamomille as well. Kinda Reminds me of Sleepy Time Tea-Stout! It’s different and pleasant.

Creates a soft pillow of a head, Color is a dark brown that has light still able to shine through. Aroma is a little roasty of malt and coffee but the flavor is more stronger serving of these two flavors. Creamy and easily quaffable.

Pours black with a very thin beige head. Standard stout chocolate and slight caramel malts with a hoppy aftertaste, good tasting beer, thin and easy to drink.
