| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jan 4, 2008 Great organic stout. It leaves the palate feeling refreshed. Has a hint of coffee and a heavy malt to it. The organic taste comes through as it settles on your mouth. Ernest (4515), Boulder, Colorado, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 30, 2005 Head is initially average sized, frothy, light brown, mostly lasting. Body is dark brown. Aroma is moderately malty (roasted grain/nuts, coffee, dark chocolate), trace hops (herbs), with notes of black tea and wet stones. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, velvety texture, lively carbonation. Excellent minerally, tea-like dry stout from a brewer that isn’t particularly skilled with stouts (IMHO). I could drink this every day. Kudos! jimhilt (1692), Bow, New Hampshire, USA

Totally black color, no highlights. Light carbonation and medium bodied. Coffee nose. Flavor is nearly sweet coffee, with a burnt coffee finish. $2.50 for a 12oz bottle from Beverage Warehouse Winooski, VT. cazort (421), Newark, Delaware, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 22, 2008 (Bottle) This has to be the best organic beer I’ve tried so far; up until this point they’ve all been decent but falling short of the best beers. This one is actually dry: very little sweetness, which I love. No sourness either; instead there’s just a rich malt flavor and a rich roast flavor, and a good deal of bitterness. I like it! It certainly beats most of the imported Irish stouts. Cybercat (824), Georgia, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 14, 2009 The rich smoky aroma has strong tones of roast coffee and molasses and just a whisper of unsweetened chocolate, demanding a taste. It pours a nearly opaque chocolate brown with a thick, light tan head that hangs around for quite a bit. Flavor is smoky with a strong overtone of fine coffee and touches of caramel, hops and molasses. Texture is this beer’s weakest point - though it is smooth and fizzy, it seems just a little watery. This beer is a winner nonetheless. Aquilo (282), California, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 18, 2006 Very dark with a thick tan head. Not much lacing. Smells and tastes like dark chocolate. Very smooth, and just a little fizzy. A very pleasant and mellow stout. mcbackus (756), Merritt Island, Florida, USA
