The aroma and flavor were not really that interesting...some roasted coffee, but that’s it. Thinnish watery feel...crisp on the tongue with a semi-dry finish. It’s always nice to try a new stout, but this one was not memorable.

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Dec 10, 2009 This stout poured a deep black colour with a nice, creamy brown head. To the nose there are scents of cocoa, coffee, burnt malt and a little grain/bread. First swig was very smooth and creamy with a awesome, creamy mouthfeel. Flavours of chocolate and caramel with a slight roasted coffee flavour was delicious. Finish is roasty with a little coffee and malt lingering. robertjm (413), El Cerrito, California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 4, 2009 Small frothy head. Dark dark chocolate brown body. No light passes through when held up to my computer monitor. Aroma of cocoa powder dominates the nose. Roasted malts predominate flavor. Starts out soft, moving towards bitterness in the aftertaste. Almost slightly smoky-ness too. Could perhaps use a slightly more body, but overall a very nice dry stout. RasterMaster (125), , Oklahoma, USA

Not great, but a good drinking stout. Brewed for WF so it’s a bigger batch style, being light, with a nice round mix of regular stout flavors. Nice sweet roasty finish. dm9831 (1167), Monee, Illinois, USA
