beer_ledgend (804), Meadowbank Auckland, New Zealand Aug 11, 2008 Dark amber in colour, creamy white head. Big green hop aroma, floral hop flavours, dissapointed in the short mouthfeel. gam (576), brisbane, Australia Jul 4, 2008 Big frothy head on an amber pour, strong carbonation.Aroma peach, citrus, floral note.Flavour nice sweetness of stonefruit, citrus hops have a good touch. The bitterness is easy on the taste buds. There is a melon touch.Finish bitter, dry just short on full flavours. Muggus69 (231), Sydney, Australia May 29, 2008 330ml bottle, BB 19 Aug 08, served chilled. Pours a slightly hazy reddish copper body with white foam. Fragrant hops on the nose, particularly fruity, grapefruit sharpness, peach skins, earthy spice, some toffee malt in the background. Moderately low carbonation, leanish body, slight creaminess about the texture, drying towards a lingering bitter finish. Unripe peach on the body, sharp grapefruit certainly cutting through, hint of tropical fruitiness blending with a faint nutty maltiness. Citrus lingering. Hop dominated APA, one of the better Aussie examples. MBison (400), Southern Highlands, Australia May 18, 2008 Bottle (330ml). Poured copper with a creamy, white head which was average lasting. Good fruity hop aroma with passionfruit and grapefruit, back up by sweet biscuity malts, creamy caramel and roasted nuts. Flavor delivered a decent hop bitterness (fruity) with more passionfruit and grapefruit followed by biscuity malts, caramel, some earthy notes and a roasted nutty finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation, a dry/creamy mouthfeel and a good finish. This was a great pale ale and my favriote from the Wicked elf brewery, it seemed perfectly in-between and APA and an EPA.
