Alround rating: Bittersweet toffee and caramel, with grassy floral hop some pepperyness in the finish. But i dont like bittersweet character in beers makes them cloying. maeib (4775), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England

A dark amber coloured beer with a whitish head. The aroma has a bit of fruit and also some toffee. Nicely chewy and fruity in the mouth with a good body. Unmistakably an old ale even if it’s lighter in colour than average. Pretty good cgarvieuk (4225), Edinburgh, Scotland

This beer struck me as similar, but inferior to, Uley Old Spot. Dark ruby brown with a slight head. Aroma was of dark fruit and malt. Flavour was of raisins, toffee and a touch of marzipan. Drinkable stuff. ThomasE (5178), Copenhagen, Denmark

I’m afriad any Old Ale characteristics of this beer passed me by. Seemed like a fruity, malty best bitter to me. Smooth and easy drinking. I would have preferred a bit more bitterness and hop bite.
