Bottle conditioned, 500ml from Millets Farm Shop, Frilford, Oxon. Red amber with white head. Sweet malty beer, quite pulpy fruity with caramel, where’s the dry hops I wonder? Overall a bit of a fruit cake and somewhat boring.

Cask @ National Winter Ales Festival 2009, Manchester. Pours a clear amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty caramel aroma with some hoppy hints. Fruity malty caramel flavor with hints of toffee. Fruity malty caramel finish.

Cask (gravity) @ National Winter Ales Festival 2009, Manchester, England.
Clear medium amber color with a small to average, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, toffee, sewage notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20090123]

Handpulled cask at the Duck in the Pond, Stanmore. Copper with an off white head. Dry malt and gentle hops. Pretty dull to be frank.

Gravity at Wolverhampton Beer Festival 2008. Dark copper in appearance, cloudy, with an off-white big foamy head. No scent to speak of. Very slightly hoppy but mainly just watery and sweet, with very mild tastes of milk and apple just perceptible. Hardly anything in there though.

Tent, Warwickshire. Teabag Goldings aroma? Bronze. Sneaking Cocoa Pops milk, biscuit and creamy malt afters, good musty English hop balance. Yeah.

Cask conditioned @ Humble Plumb, Soton. Thick malty toffee and some autumn fruit. Not overly sweet witha little dusty hop in the finish. Slightly too much toffee for me.

A Mes rate: Gravicask at Planet Thanet 2008.
Dark copper with no head. Straight forward malt and hops aroma but neither are amazing. Decent fruity malt flavour, slight tangy sourness and totally run of the mill all round. Next!
