A good festive tasting beer, reminds me of cold weather and leaves turning colors. Mild nose, a little nutty. duff (5475), Surrey, Greater London, England

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Jun 5, 2004 Dark orange. Very, very sweet (a trend in Portland "alt" beers). But this has a nice caramelly base that wins out and perhaps a glimmer of smoke to boot. beerinmarch (2810), Washington, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 15, 2004 Pours a nice darker red color with a decent white head. Aroma was fairly hoppy with some roasted and spiced aroma. Taste was very roasted, started sweet and ended fairly bitter. Great balance of malt and hops, i wish they kept selling this as their spring seasonal. Sham (1846), Seattle, Washington, USA

Caramel malts and grassy hops in the nose. Bitter and toasted malts with some roast. Crazy flavors. It starts off with toasted malts, goes bitter, then ends with a gummi bear flavor. Nice finish of candy and bitter hops.

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Sep 1, 2003 Decent alt , but not earthshaking, it was part of a sampler tray I had at the brewpub. Mildly bitter, with a minimal nose, warm golden color, and fairly smooth palate.
