Commercial Description:
Blonde Ale is a refreshing beer with everything in balance: Not too heavy, not too sweet. A lighter, yet flavorful beer that's bright, golden, and easy to enjoy.

(Draft) Bright Yellow with a dense white head smells sweet malt with a slight hop aroma. The taste is sweetish grainy refreshing with some bitterness coming on to finish

Pours a deep golden color with a small white head that leaves no lacing. Standard light malt aroma with a faint hop hint. Taste is very light malt, smooth texture with a dry finish. Slightly wheaty taste with a fair bitterness at the end.

Tap@Widmer. Pretty blandm crisp, grainy, lagery sort of ale. Pretty easy to drink, but very un-interesting.

on tap: also at the bat mitzvah this past weekend. is this stuff kosher??(see other widmer ratings or dont) this one pours just like the picture, yellow golden with white head. not alot of nose here maybe a musky smell. mostly malt overtones, really not alot of hop character at all. sweet crystal malt. not something i would drink alot of or probably order again unless i was stuck with a macro (poor) selection, i liked the drop top better.

Creamy white head, blonde color, lightly carbonated. Aroma is wet with malts, light crisp hops come through. The flavor is very malty at first, not too bad. A little musty still though. Finishes clean, decent.

The appearance seems to be pretty typical for a Blonde ale ( or Golden Ale as it says on the label)..nice deep gold colour with little or no head..not even a good lace. Again with a Widmer beer the aroma to me seems to be almost non-existant..are they trying to go "macro"? Taste is pretty run of the mill and average for this style..in fact this tastes more like a pilsner..very light..a little malt and next to no hops. Again typical feel on the tongue nothing to write home about here. For me not too drinkable..but i suppose if one had a macro buddy this would suit him/her to a tee.

Kurt Widmer was giving out samples at Market of Choice last weekend. Nice guy. Started out with the blond ale, which was light and airy as most blonds tend to be.
