Jan 28, 2008 12 oz. bottle - Pours a crystal clear deep golden color with a one finger thick off white head. Very soft carbonation. Light lacing. Aroma is citrus, pine, and light floral hops. Flavor is hops and lightly sweetened malt. Medium body. No lingering astringent aftertaste. A pretty good beer.

Aroma is resins, citrus, sweet malt.
Flavor is lemon, grapefruit, pine needles, some resins. Pretty well balanced for an IPA.
Palate was smooth and fairly full.
Overall, this is a little less forward than many IPAs but not a let-down by any means. Could be a session IPA at 6% abv. Recommended.

Jan 12, 2008 12oz Bottle. This was given to me by a friend who works for AB. This was in a gift pack of seasonal Widmer beers. I haven’t had too much from widmer that I liked and this was no exception. This had a pretty hoppy bite, but not the fresh, citrus hop flavor I crave. This was kind of a harsh sour like hoppiness. For whatever reason, I think Im just not a fan of Cascade hops. I poured the last 1/3 of this down my drain.

Dec 31, 2007 Drank this while sitting in the Portland airport. Widmer hasn’t always impressed me with their beers, but this was a very good IPA. Nice hoppy flavor and good smooth finish. Wish I could get this at home. (OH)

does not count  Dec 20, 2007 12 oz bottle. Pours a light amber color with a decent head that falls to a thin froth. Nice lace lets you count your sips. Pleasing grapefruit nose. Citrus on the front with a solid malty middle. Nice carbonation with a dry pleasant bitter finish. I like this beer.

Dec 19, 2007 Bottle from BevMo. Medium amber/golden colored upon pouring. Some sweet citric hoppy qualities in the nose. Decent hoppiness. Some bready qualities. Drinkable IPA with decent bitterness.

Dec 16, 2007 Im not a big fan of IPA’s, but I like the Widmer’s beers ok. Obvious use of hops and good head retention....This one seemed like a nicely balanced IPA for the masses and you can tell some quality ingredients were used.
