can8ianben (903), Pasadena, California, USA Dec 8, 2007 Nice and hoppy, but not much else. There is little detectable malt and the aroma doesn’t impart citrus as much I I hoped it would. It’s a decent beverage, but not one I’d want to seek out to have again. RSRIZZO (1345), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Dec 1, 2007 Had this beer on 6/30/2006. Aroma is a sweet hoppy scent. Color is a deep golden with light carbonation and a thin head. Taste is mildly hoppy. Starting with a light/medium body that goes down easy with the air of hops coming on. Finish comes on with light maltyness that is backed by a full bitterness and a citrus like fresh hop flavor. Its a nice hoppy IPA with good fresh hop flavor. darbish (81), Portland, Oregon, USA Nov 15, 2007 I really like this one, it’s a solid IPA in my opinion. Nice and bitter, but not so much to keep you from enjoying it. The description lists a citrus flavor, and while this is definitely true, the flavor is subtle and gives the beer a refreshing taste. Recommended for sure. FROTHINGSLOSH (1961), GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 5, 2007 Thanks to Pigboy for brining me this one from a trip out of state. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy bright golden-amber color with a small white head. The aroma was very nice with sweet with strong grapefruit and pine elements. The flavor was sweet, fruity and lightly peppery with notes of grapefruit, pine and floral hops. Quite nice. SamAdams777 (37), Abilene or Stephenville, Texas, USA Nov 2, 2007 This is a really good India pale ale. Its definetly a grapefruit flavored beer. The flavor is bold and big. Not as bitter as some ipa’s, so if thats your thing, you might want to look here. Its internation bitterness unit scale(IBUscale) is up there in the 40s no doubt. jmcguire1969 (149), Lafayette, Colorado, USA Oct 13, 2007 This tastes like a Bridgeport clone...nothing special but drinkable. These English IPA’s sure are salty. utleyma (1), Texas, USA does not count Oct 11, 2007 Being a fan of the more citrusy IPAs, Broken Halo is right up my alley. This is an IPA that I would suggest to people who aren’t too familiar with the style. dwyerpg (2519), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Oct 10, 2007 I thought this was pretty nice overall. Not much aroma and the head doesn’t taste good, but the consummate flavor of the beer is pretty enjoyable. With this and their yearly release beers this brewery is changing my opinion of them.
