This is an IPA that I would suggest to people who aren’t too familiar with the style. dwyerpg (2529), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 10, 2007 I thought this was pretty nice overall. Not much aroma and the head doesn’t taste good, but the consummate flavor of the beer is pretty enjoyable. With this and their yearly release beers this brewery is changing my opinion of them. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 9, 2007 Bottle. Body-medium honey with a thin ring of bubbles and a thin loose head that fades into a thin film of bubbles. Nose-watered down grapefruit juice, light sewer gas, Sulphur. Taste-salty, medium to high bitterness, very stale bitter hops, medium hop flavor, highCO2, bitter on the back end. Tastes exactly like Alka-Seltzer with hops added. Not bad, but reminds me way too much of Alka-Seltzer. cathcacr (588), Portland, Oregon, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 9, 2007 Solid example of the style; I’m reminded quite a bit of DFH’s 60-minute. More emphasis on sweetness (honeyish) than your usual IPA. Bradrcr (779), Renton, Washington, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 25, 2007 9/23/07 On draught at Fremont Oktoberfest, Seattle. Aroma is an even blend of malt, grass and presumably cascade hops. Appearance is clear gold with a low off-white head. Flavor is definitely more hop forward with good earthy bittering and a solid sweet malt background. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a medium/high carb texture. Overall, just needs a bit better blending in the flavors, but I could see this being attractive to hop heads. moped (13), East Lindfield, Australia
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Sep 22, 2007 I had this beer at the Portland beer festival a few years ago before it was put into mainstream production and it was just as great then as it is now. Definately a IPA worth trying. JMFG (1514), Florida, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 16, 2007 Bottle. Poured a straw color with a moderate dense white head. Light grassy hop aroma, not very strong. Hop flavor is moderately floral and grassy with some sweetness to it. The finish has a decent hop tingle to it, but falls short of satisfying. Very drinkable, but overall lacking in the hop department. llcooldave (319), San Antonio, Texas, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/20 | Sep 13, 2007 Poured a nice frothy head reminiscent of egg whites. Aroma was nice hops and pine. Color appeared yellowish golden, with a hazy appearance. Initial flavor is a medicinal bitterness that finishes clean. Overall I enjoyed the aroma immensely, but couldn’t get over the bitterness. Probably would not purchase again. I’ve had better IPAs.
