Commercial Description:
Broken Halo IPA is a beer produced in the spirit of traditional IPA products shipped from the UK to India in the late 1800s. The almost excessive amounts of Cascade and Columbus hops used in Broken Halo give it notable citrus and grapefruit aromas and flavors. The beer bitterness measures high but tastes smooth due to the full-bodied, Caramel malt sweetness. The finish is juicy, clean, and short lived. A devilishly bold, heavenly smooth India Pale Ale. malts: PALE, CARAMEL 10L & 20L,carapils hops: ALCHEMY, CASCADE, zeus

It has a bright golden color. The aroma is very citrusy. The flavor is refreshing and mildly hoppy.

Bottle pours gold in color with a frothy white head. Aroma smells primarly of grass and grapefruit. Taste is basically the same with some light caramel notes as well. Pretty easy drinking beer, but for an IPA, the finish falls a little short for me.

A golden beer with little to no head. Aroma is slight grassy pine. Taste is the same,& the body is quite thin. Overall a smooth beer.

Pours a light golden copper color with a decent white froth. Aroma is citrusy with caramel but somewhat muted. Flavor is sweet caramel with some grassy and citrusy hops. Pretty standard west coast style IPA but just not as potent or good. Starts to taste pretty crappy if it warms at all. Astringent bitterness and a dry finish. Average all around.

Decent looking but nothing else. Off nose. Tastes like sinus drippings (post nasal drip)

12oz bottle from The Wine Rack in Midland, TX. Pours light amber with white head. Aroma is citrus, hops and caramel malts. Flavor is caramel malts with hops and citrus. Finishes bitter. Not the best IPA but my first taste of hops in weeks.

~Pours a light amber gold color with frothy white head. Nice lacing. ~Pleasant aroma of citrus hops and lots of caramel malts. ~Mostly bitter flavor from hops. Sweetness is there, but overpowered by hops. Which is fine with me. ~Light feel. Bitter finish. I like IPA’s to be more heavy feeling and a bit sticky. ~Pretty good brew. Enjoyable to drink.
