Hop flavor is less noticable than other ipa’s. Bitter and sweet yet less and more malt on the palate. Malts are more present in the aroma too. Still drinkable, enjoyable yet somewhat dissapointed, more hop character! steview (901), Los Angeles, California, USA

(If I’m off the mark, then... meh to you.) This is a hard beer; hard meaning hard water. It is with its caramel notes, but with some lemon notes, and with some juiciness indeed. I like it. It is alright, but not what I expect for living off the southern coast of California. kamish (92), Lake Stevens, Washington, USA

Pith of grapefruit dominates the nose. This is about as much hops as I can enjoy. Stays sharp and refreshing as it warms. Malts recede. Pretty well exemplifies the style for me, and I like it. POSTSCRIPT: Absolutely does NOT pair with Vietnamese dried cuttlefish snacks! shevanel (9), Arizona, USA does not count | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 13, 2008 A great and balance IPA. Smelled of light citrus and perfume, and heavy hops. A little flat on the carbonation and surprisingly watery. The flavor was a little dull with some light flowers, but overall a swell IPA. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 6, 2008 Draft at the brewery tap. A golden beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet and lovely grassy adn grapefruity. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of grass as well as grapefruit, leading to a dry bitter finish. mar (1826), Dallas, Texas, USA

Color was gold with a smallish head. Aroma of citrus/grapefruit with some earth and grass. Flavor was surprisingly good; grassy hop flavor was better than most that I have had. Balanced nicely with some toasted caramel.
