Jun 24, 2008 Bottle bought in Jackson, Wyoming. Pours a clear orange body with a small white head. The aroma is full of grapefruit and some caramel. The taste is very well balanced between juicy grapefruit, some sweet caramel malt, and a bit of bitterness in the finish. A very well crafted IPA. Enjoyable.

Jun 21, 2008 Smells good. Taste doesn’t not last and there is no bite. I thought tasted a little weak and watered down. Smells better than it tastes. Didn’t have enough hops. The only reason I rated it this high is because I love almost all IPA’s.

Jun 20, 2008 finally the dark golden look of an ipa.... not much aroma at all except for some mild citrus... the aroma is nice and sharp with some bitter lemon that lingers on the tongue

Jun 14, 2008 The beer pours a lightly hazy yellow gold with almost no head. The nose is a light mix of aromatic hops and floral malts. The taste is what you would expect from the nose; a watery mix of hops and yeast. No a bad beer but not one that calls to me at night.

Jun 11, 2008 Updated: Jul 21, 2008A decent IPA that pours a pale color with a nice head. Scents of hops, but not as strong or sweet smelling as the better IPA’s. Taste is smooth and again not as good or bitter as the best IPA’s.

Jun 11, 2008 This is one of my favorite IPAs. This Broken Halo has a great citrusy flowery aroma. It pours into my favorite glass caramel like, with a full white, maybe off white head that stick around a while. The flavor is outstandingly citrusy and hoppy, with a little lovely bitterness in the background hidden by the subtle sweetness of the malts. And the beer is incredibly smooth... no harshness.

Jun 10, 2008 Very little head. The beer is orange and very carbonated. The initial smell is a very nice, familiar IPA smell of citrus/orange peel. It’s orange like a normal IPA, but a little more clear than I’m used to. Now for the taste. Yum! This is surprisingly very good. Perfectly balanced to be ever so slightly bitter but a great session beer. I could probably have all 6 of these tonight. What a great surprise!
