Taste of hops and maltiness on the back end. Good but have tasted better. Saarlander (1579), Rancho Cucamonga, California, USA

Thin sheeting lacing. Aroma is IPA allright, sweet bright and citrusy. Grapefruit, and orange rind. Flavor is not as fruity but a nice up front citrus rind bitterness, closely followe dby the medium malts that round out the flavor profile. The lingering bitterness comes through later and hangs around. A bit soft on the carbonation but it all goes well together. A bit more than I expected from a macro/micro like Widmer. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 16, 2007 Bottle. Poured a straw color with a moderate dense white head. Light grassy hop aroma, not very strong. Hop flavor is moderately floral and grassy with some sweetness to it. The finish has a decent hop tingle to it, but falls short of satisfying. Very drinkable, but overall lacking in the hop department. Swalden28 (1510), McKinney, Texas, USA

Obvious use of hops and good head retention....This one seemed like a nicely balanced IPA for the masses and you can tell some quality ingredients were used. shadey (1500), Rochester, New York, USA

The aroma is piny and resiny. Attractive. Flavor is sharp and citrusy with plenty of pine and resin. A very nice IPA. SamGamgee (1457), Santa Cruz (La Selva), California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 4, 2008 12oz bottle. Clear light amber with a lasting head. Good hoppy aroma, with grapefruit, herb, and sap notes. The flavor has a nice hop profile, with citrus leanings. Lean and dry malts. Pretty balanced, with no abrasive bitterness. Light body for an IPA, with smooth carbonation. Easy-drinking IPA, but pretty solid. GreatLibations (1444), Last Supper, Arizona, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 28, 2008 BH is a honey colored IPA with a decent head on it. Lacing is minimal and aroma is good and spicy. It’s a full bodied ale with a good citrusy hop crunch and a malty backbone. The finish is bittered with citrus rind flavors. It’s an average IPA.
