May 28, 2008 BH is a honey colored IPA with a decent head on it. Lacing is minimal and aroma is good and spicy. It’s a full bodied ale with a good citrusy hop crunch and a malty backbone. The finish is bittered with citrus rind flavors. It’s an average IPA.

Dec 1, 2007 Had this beer on 6/30/2006. Aroma is a sweet hoppy scent. Color is a deep golden with light carbonation and a thin head. Taste is mildly hoppy. Starting with a light/medium body that goes down easy with the air of hops coming on. Finish comes on with light maltyness that is backed by a full bitterness and a citrus like fresh hop flavor. Its a nice hoppy IPA with good fresh hop flavor.

Jul 4, 2007 Pours a dark orange color with a white soapy head. Smells of hops and malt. Tastes like pears with hops and has a medium bitter finish that is short. Overall decent but there are many better IPAs out there.

May 22, 2008 Pours a clear dark gold with white fizzy head. Floral hops, bitterness, citrus, grapefruit, hints of tropical fruit, and a small amount of caramel malt. Just your average IPA, but still worth a try and tastes pretty good.

Jun 11, 2007 It are otay. I may even like it. I may like it far better when it’s on sale or free, but still. It sure as hell isn’t my favorite IPA, but for one that’s now given an affiliation with AB, I suppose that not fully sucking should be equated as a most positive thing? That I’ve had probably a case of this or more and still not seen fit to give this any deeper thought sheds light on my feeling that it rates no better than a middle of the road IPA. See: good if on sale ....

Jan 9, 2007 Pale gold with some haze and a thin white head. Dank grapefruit zest and urea aroma. Clean, straightforward hop delivery. Nice citrus flavor with balancing malt sweetness and perfect bitterness. Nothing over the top but a well executed IPA.

Nov 7, 2006 mmmm... pretty good. Tap, golden color with thin white head. Hoppy aroma with maybe some other spices. Creamy palate. Taste of hops and other earhy flavors like citrus, grain and malts and sweetness. Great IPA

Mar 3, 2007 Beer pours clear golden color with a retained egg white head and heavy lacing. Beer is seriously hoppy in aroma with heavy citrus, especially grapefruit. Essentially one dimensionally hoppy, but hey this is an IPA. Flavor is likewise citrus hop juice. I really like this.
