Jul 2, 2006 Bottled. Beer is dated May 06. Beer is a clear light-medium copper color with a small, frothy, mostly and rapidly diminishing head. The aroma is malty with a light note of toasted grain and caramel; Hoppy with heavy notes of resin/pine, moderate herb; light note of cedar. Light yeasty note of dough. The flavor is heavily bitter, lightly sweet, lightly acidic with a long, moderate-to-heavily warm , moderately astringent, lightly sweet finish. The body is ilight, the texture is watery and the carbonation is lively.

Jul 9, 2006 Henry’s on 12th in Portland, Or. Dark yellow with malt, and grapefruit hop nose. Sweeter taste than I would have hoped, with a moderate bitterness. Okay.

May 6, 2006 From the bottle.
Pours a light amber orange, clear with an off-white head. The aroma is restrained c-hops with a fair bit of pepper; the flavor is likewise peppery, bits of hop juice but no hop blast at all, restained malts as well, leaving me with a beer that is on the weak side for an IPA, especially a Portland IPA.
It’s a decent beer, but I’m not in a big hurry to revisit this one.

Aug 14, 2006 Bottle (thanks argo0). Copper colored, medium off-white head, nice lacing. Aroma of hops (and lots of ’em), grapefruit, citrus, grapes?. Flavor is hoppy also, nice malt balance, even with the crap-ton of hops. Finish is malty (not all that dry), and I can taste the caramel in the end. Excellent beer, with not a lot of alcohol. And to think, I thought they only made hefes.

Apr 28, 2007 (Bottle) Pours a light amber color with a mediocre white head. Aroma is there, but a little more mild than one might expect. Taste is pretty equally balanced between hops and malt. Dusty, dry finish. This beer actually exceeded my expectations, but is a pretty average IPA overall.

Apr 17, 2006 Bottle from Bottleworks. Golden color with small head. Solid hop aroma, not strong. Sharp IPA taste that never really comes on too strong. Good, but nothing special as far as IPA’s are concerned. Easy drinking IPA.

Feb 17, 2008 Updated: Jun 26, 2008Sampled at the Arizona Craft Brewers Guild 2008 Strong Beer Fest, on February 17, at the Mesa Amphitheatre.
6/26/08: Clear medium golden color pour with a foamy head. Nice aroma of grapefruit peel and pine sap. Very similar flavor. Definayely hoppier than your average six-pack IPA. Not bad at all. Very refreshing on a warm summer night like tonight.

Aug 22, 2006 had a bottle of this in seattle over the weekend. poured a copper hue, with a tan off white head. slight grassy flax seed nose. more fresh hops up front and a decent backbone of malt a bit above average and easy to drink. better then i anticipated.
