Commercial Description:
Broken Halo IPA is a beer produced in the spirit of traditional IPA products shipped from the UK to India in the late 1800s. The almost excessive amounts of Cascade and Columbus hops used in Broken Halo give it notable citrus and grapefruit aromas and flavors. The beer bitterness measures high but tastes smooth due to the full-bodied, Caramel malt sweetness. The finish is juicy, clean, and short lived. A devilishly bold, heavenly smooth India Pale Ale. malts: PALE, CARAMEL 10L & 20L,carapils hops: ALCHEMY, CASCADE, zeus

A nice deep gold with little to no head at all. The aroma is really the best part of this beer. Very fruity, some citrus as well as plum-like features to complement the heavy hopping. Unfortunately, the bitterness is a bit to abbrasive on this one (Maybe I’ve gotten spoiled to Dogfish’s smoothness). It really not a bad beer tho.

Medium amber with quick head. has the skunky pilsner hop aroma mixed with graperfruit and (unbuttered) popcorn. smooth in the mouth and lager thin. some pine joins the lemon in flavor. i only know theres malt cause the hops dont get carried away.

I gotta agree with the previous poster.. This beer is kinda flat for an IPA, but it is way better than the macros! It pours a medium amber with a small white head and has that characteristic hoppy dryness to it. I think it needs to be a little sweeter and rounded out. Cheers!

Bottled. Poured nice, had a full creamy head. Flavor is more flat and bland than Im used to with IPA’s. I guess I like the big Hops, this is just a basic one, better than macros but not very unique in style character or flavor.

Pours an amber color with a medium white head. Nose is weak but managed to pick up some citrus notes. Smooth and medium bodied with good citrus hop flavoring throughout.
