Very fruity, some citrus as well as plum-like features to complement the heavy hopping. Unfortunately, the bitterness is a bit to abbrasive on this one (Maybe I’ve gotten spoiled to Dogfish’s smoothness). It really not a bad beer tho. raphael (417), Portland, Oregon, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Feb 28, 2008 Medium amber with quick head. has the skunky pilsner hop aroma mixed with graperfruit and (unbuttered) popcorn. smooth in the mouth and lager thin. some pine joins the lemon in flavor. i only know theres malt cause the hops dont get carried away. dyetube (414), Dallas, Texas, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 1, 2007 I gotta agree with the previous poster.. This beer is kinda flat for an IPA, but it is way better than the macros! It pours a medium amber with a small white head and has that characteristic hoppy dryness to it. I think it needs to be a little sweeter and rounded out. Cheers! ChazMania (414), Pasadena, California, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 29, 2007 Bottled. Poured nice, had a full creamy head. Flavor is more flat and bland than Im used to with IPA’s. I guess I like the big Hops, this is just a basic one, better than macros but not very unique in style character or flavor. leitrim65 (398), Seattle, Washington, USA
