Dec 5, 2009 OK. Mostly Pine, not as bright with citrus as I like. A bit of sweetness and some floral character but you really need to tease all this out. I expect and IPA to hit me in the face with these things. Fairly drinkable, just not what I expected.

Sep 13, 2007 Poured a nice frothy head reminiscent of egg whites. Aroma was nice hops and pine. Color appeared yellowish golden, with a hazy appearance. Initial flavor is a medicinal bitterness that finishes clean. Overall I enjoyed the aroma immensely, but couldn’t get over the bitterness. Probably would not purchase again. I’ve had better IPAs.

Mar 21, 2008 Bottle. Pours a dark slightly hazy gold. Small to no head. Laces well on the side of the glass. Nose is citrus/acidic with a bit of pine. Attack is nice and hoppy and bitter but very light, easy to drink. finish is a bit ’off’, bitter but some other flavours floating around. not a bad IPA.

Jul 7, 2009 A golden beer with little to no head. Aroma is slight grassy pine. Taste is the same,& the body is quite thin. Overall a smooth beer.

Dec 29, 2006 Grabbed off the shelf in Oregon knowing nothing about this one. Was way surprised with it! I’m a big IPA fan and this one pours transparent amber/copper with a medium head. Delicious apricot floral and pine bouquet, sweeter, fruitier tones than some IPAs. Enticing! Found the first sip to be surprisingly crisp and fruity with a nice long bitter finish -- exquisite. Not overwhelmed with acohol flavor or syrupy sweet malts -- pretty darn exceptional for a session IPA in my opinion. Light, gulpable, but true to the style (at the Cascade hop varieties). Try it -- you will like it. 6% alcohol.

Nov 1, 2008 Tap. A golden beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet and lovely grassy adn grapefruity. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of grass as well as grapefruit, leading to a dry bitter finish.

Sep 13, 2006 Updated: Sep 19, 2006bottle 12 oz. This is a last resort only buy. And I mean F’ing LAST RESORT. Enough bittering hops here but minimal hop flavor. The malt tastes cooked and dull and there are traces of a weird menthol flavor which I don’t care for. Alcohol is noticable in this 6%! Piss poor beer for who I don’t know, you can count me out. I will avoid Widmer to the best of my ability from now on.

Feb 23, 2007 A good IPA. It stands out because it is very hop resiney. Just the right about of bitterness and good floral citrusy flavor. Malt sweetness comes through well too. Nice summer beer.
