| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Apr 25, 2007 Bottle. Rich amber beer with an off-white head. Grapefruit aroma. Creamy mouthfeel. Grapefruit and bready flavors. Body seems to mellow out some bitterness perception which I don’t like. A bit of playdough that lingers with backing grapefruit and pine. Medium body. Floral hops in the aroma with a bit of spiciness. Taste is nice and bitter. Mouthfeel is dry. beerinmarch (2829), Washington, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Sep 26, 2006 From the bottle. I’m not the biggest fan of this beer, tastes very unbalanced, and not even in that overhopped NW kinda way. Tastes like they just used way to many bittering hops, just massive bitterness instead of massive flavor hoppiness. Very crisp and sharp bittering that kinda makes me sick of this brew after half the bottle. Aubrey (2777), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 21, 2006 Light golden-orange with a frothy head. Inviting nose of cake and hops. Body was lightish and steely, with a lively carbonation. Malt flavors were nice, with a decent level of sweetness. Hops were sharp and citrusy, and had a nice "green" quality. Some pine cones, too. Bitterness was a little bold, especially in the aftertaste. Overall, perhaps it was lacking a little depth, but it was a solid IPA. harlequinn (2745), Tacoma, Washington, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 11, 2006 This is a really decent IPA from a brewry that I am not a big fan of, so this was a pleasant surprise. Has a great crisp bitterness, with some sweet fruity hop esters and a very warm malt character to back it all up. A very easy to drink IPA riversideAK (2745), Shoreline, Washington, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 15, 2008 Copper colored with a decent head. Aroma is floral/pine with a touch of citrus and a little malt. Flavor was a nice pleasant hoppy burst of pine, perfume, and citrus with a caramel malt backing. Not bitter but zesty and pleasant. Sessionable. One of the better beers from Widmer.
