Pour was a nice deep gold with a one finger off white head. Taste was nice and hoppy. Very earthy and malty with a medium bitter aftertaste. This is a great beer to use as an ambassador to craft beer. Not too big, easy to drink and full all around. Beer2000 (1852), Kristiansand, Norway
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 7, 2008 355 ml bottle. Golden bronze body with an off-white head. Aroma is fruity, citrus/grapefruit. Flavor is also fruity, citrus with sweet malt and a sharp, balanced bitterness. A nice, plain, straightforward IPA for everyday use. oldrtybastrd (1846), Morlautern, Germany/Great Falls, Montana, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 26, 2006 Amber with a foamy head and some lace. Piney hops in the nose with some hints of soap and earthiness. Caramel malts back that up. Bitter and piney flavors with caramel and toast. Nice finish. SDbruboy (1833), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 19, 2006 12 oz. bottle, from Fred Meyer in Portland area. Pours hazy, bright amber orange with a miniscule white head that quickly receded to an edge ring. Aroma was surprisingly modest, what’s discernable features lightlly toasty and citrus fruity malts, floral notes and more citrus in the hops. Flavor has summer fruits and hints of toffe in the malts, with bold hop flavors - primarily of grapefruit, evergreen needles and floral notes along with a spicy binte in the finish. Medium body and prickly-creamy carbonation. This all adds up to a quite servicable west coast style IPA, though not in the same league as my favorites. Lumpy (1802), Carrollton, Texas, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 9, 2007 Bottle. Body-medium honey with a thin ring of bubbles and a thin loose head that fades into a thin film of bubbles. Nose-watered down grapefruit juice, light sewer gas, Sulphur. Taste-salty, medium to high bitterness, very stale bitter hops, medium hop flavor, highCO2, bitter on the back end. Tastes exactly like Alka-Seltzer with hops added. Not bad, but reminds me way too much of Alka-Seltzer. 11026 (1772), Alabama, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 1, 2006 Updated: Apr 14, 2006Tap at Horsebrass. Medium golden colored and clear. Nice compact white head with good lacing. Aroma is a bit weak. Touches of floral hop fleet about, nothing definite. Light to medium bodied, feels a bit weak/watery. Balanced but hop bitterness and flavor is weak for a PNW IPA. Some stale (for lack of a better descriptor) notes in aroma when swirled. Fair, a bit disappointing. Bottled version is much the same and a touch undercarbonated. Murphy (1759), Fort Collins, Colorado, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 27, 2006 Bottle. Pours golden with moderate carbonation, minimal head. Aroma is light piney hops, slight sweetness. Palate is dominated by citrus and piney hops, Cascade and Columbus in the description is correct. Solid bitterness, creates a sort of bite to the finish along with slight metallics. Widmer house flavor to this. Very traditional PNW IPA.
