I now know that if/when I need a decent hop fix, I can turn here and get it. Avaiable in the super-sized grocery stores too, so that’s another plus.
The beer pours out an amber/orange color with a nice creamy two-finger head. The aroma has a nice 1-2 punch of prickly, piney hops and a clean floral note. The beer really has a suprisingly sweet side to it, which I enjoy but some don’t. I thought it really helped balance the medium hop level in the beer to a certain degree. Honestly, I felt there weren’t enough hops for an IPA, but it wasn’t off by much. Perhaps if it were better attenuated the hops might get kicked up a notch or two. In the end, it’s a nice beer and one that I can recommend in the pinch. BuckeyeBoy (1674), Boise, Idaho, USA

Tastes more malty than expected, but with a pleasant blend of hops, more citrus, and a sweet & sour feel. Pretty smooth drinking ale. chef201atc (249), Weatherford, Texas, USA

Tastes like pears with hops and has a medium bitter finish that is short. Overall decent but there are many better IPAs out there. kenb (1100), Oregon, USA

Nice pine, floral citrus aroma. Flavor starts with a vanilla sweet malt flavor, followed by citrus, and finishing with a lemony grapefruit hoppiness. Very nice bittersweet aftertaste (a little metallic) that lingers just long enough. Almost tastes bottle-conditioned, am surprised to find that it is not. This is a very good and balanced IPA. VERY UNDER-RATED!...
