The balance between the hops and smooth flavor is undeniable as you can never really have a bad sip of this overall satisfying beer, regardless of the temperature of the beer. There are better IPA’s out there, but you can never go wrong with this beer and being an Oregonian I get it more often than not. CaptainCougar (5530), Rockville, Maryland, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 11, 2006 Pours a clear bronze with a thin, nicely-lacing white head. Aroma is lightly caramel malty sweet with some fresh piney, citrusy hops. Body starts mildly sweet with some crisp, lightly bitter grapefruity hop flavor and a touch of grainy malt. Finishes bittersweet and lightly sticky. Nicely balanced and very drinkable IPA. Thanks to wohlfs for the bottle! Sham (1846), Seattle, Washington, USA

Full bodied with a creamy/foamy mouthfeel. Sharply bitter, but still some underlying sweetness for balance. Classic west-coast American IPA. Very nice. hotstuff (3183), Indiana, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 1, 2008 Draft at Widmer Brothers BC, Portland, OR. Small ivory head that mostly diminished, very nice lacing, no carbonation was observed, transparent, and a golden hue. Nose was hoppy, grapefruit, citrus. Nicely done! Flavor was bitter, hoppy, citrus, grapefruit, and finishes somewhat dry. Mouthfeel was smooth and dry. Medium body. Very quaffable brew and definitely worthy of a try. I would drink this one again even considering that I am not a "hophead" by any means. BrewDad (2372), Olympia, Washington, USA

A great Imperial IPA. The flavor did not kick you so hard you did not want another. The color and head where awesome. The aroma was also very good. I loved the complexity of the flavors and the malts. A great beer Good Job Widmer. pinkzambia (989), Boise, Idaho, USA

It has a nice bitter taste with a little sweetness. The feel is fairly thick and syruppy - full body. Not bad.
