The Aroma of this beer is lovely-flowery hops in a field... Pours is a hazy light copper gold mixture....Lacing is truly choice!... The bitterness is this beer is enjoyable, not overdone but point on, the sweetness is also apparent, not quite balanced but still tasty!
Overall, much better than expected (coming from widmer) and i would recommend this product when looking for a simple no frills IPA.. decaturstevo (2007), decatur, Tennessee, USA

A slightly thin palate not a bad beer. Just a little weak for the syle but very drinkable. a10555 (125), West Chester, Ohio, USA

Widmer hasn’t always impressed me with their beers, but this was a very good IPA. Nice hoppy flavor and good smooth finish. Wish I could get this at home. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 1, 2007 Had this beer on 6/30/2006. Aroma is a sweet hoppy scent. Color is a deep golden with light carbonation and a thin head. Taste is mildly hoppy. Starting with a light/medium body that goes down easy with the air of hops coming on. Finish comes on with light maltyness that is backed by a full bitterness and a citrus like fresh hop flavor. Its a nice hoppy IPA with good fresh hop flavor. Bradrcr (781), Renton, Washington, USA

Aroma is an even blend of malt, grass and presumably cascade hops. Appearance is clear gold with a low off-white head. Flavor is definitely more hop forward with good earthy bittering and a solid sweet malt background. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a medium/high carb texture. Overall, just needs a bit better blending in the flavors, but I could see this being attractive to hop heads. scooterbub (383), Lander, Wyoming, USA

Taste is of citrus, pine and grapefruit. Aroma is of pine and grapefruit. Overall, this beer is pretty tasty and easy to drink. I would buy this again. drismyhero (815), Tacoma, Washington, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 6, 2007 Actually, I was pleasantly surprised by this Widmer IPA. The cascade hops are evident, but there really is no way I’d call it "excessive." This ranks middle-of-the-road on the IBU scale as far as I can tell, so the fact it is fairly well balanced isn’t too surprising, but the grapefruit and grassiness is there. It’s nothing I’ll go out of my way to find but a great fall back at most bars. jsquire (2113), St. Marys, Ohio, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jan 4, 2007 Golden color out of the bottle with a diminishing white head. Sharp citrus/grapefruit nose. Sweet grapefruit and orange juice citrus flavors with some buscuit malts. Hot hop burn on the tongue and a long orange peel bitterness in the finish. Easy drinking IPA.
