Pours cloudy amber color with small white head. Pretty good lacing. Aroma of sweet malts and hops. Initial sweet with a fairly bitter hoppy finish.

Amber with a nice off white head. Aroma is pretty hoppy, pine, light citrus. Taste is fairly hoppy with a light background maltiness and caramel. Sticky.

Mighta given it a better rating, but it’s a tad non-traditional. Nevertheless, a fine product indeed. Nice hoppy nose, not so much malt. More similar to a pale ale in style. Hazy amber color highlighted with orange and red. Flavor is great. Grapefruit is strong but not persistant. Some earthy characteristics.. A session beer for sure.

On tap at the Gasthaus. Dark copper with one finger head. Nose brings with it pine and citrus hops with some grassy tendencies in there too. Nice bitter Red Ale, no hint that there’s 7.2 ABV in this one. Deceptively delicious. I’ve enjoyed this both in the bottle and on tap, but tap wins.

Dark copper color with no head. Light aroma of pine hops. Dark malt and nutty taste, finishing with a splash of pine hops.

Pours a copper color with thin white head. The nose is grassy hops, caramel, and just a hint of spice. It comes across the plate with a mild hop taste; then comes the caramel. Goes down relatively smooth; little to no carbonation.

Bottle from BevMo. Reddish copper color with a slight off-white head. Fresh hoppy aroma. Medium plus body with creamy/chewy carbonation. The flavor is pine over caramel malt. Not quite dry. Not quite bitter. Quite tasty. Don’t pass it by.
