Pushing a hoppy amber. Not bad. alagnak (356), Littleton, Colorado, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 8, 2009 Pretty beer in the glass. Nice head that falls quickly. Aroma is really solid, high hop character for an APA. Taste is pretty standard solid american hops with a nice malt play. Finish is really unique, like funky caramelized lemons and light resin. Really long lasting finish. Quenching and a solid brew. Was first not happy the hotel replaced SNPA with this, but the further I got through the glass(es), the more I liked it. leems (149), Portland, Oregon, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jul 7, 2009 Bottle. Amber with an orange hue. Grapefruit and pine. Hoppy flavor and a nice malt balance. I don’t know what the barmaid yesterday would have thought but if Widmer made more beer like this she probably would still be dating the brewer! xs2500 (90), Mississippi, USA

Aroma is nice, but overall not a very good brew to sit sip and enjoy Tmoney99 (4746), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA

Poured clear copper color with an average off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate citrus hoppy and small malt aroma. Medium body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration.
Solid drinkable brew that met my expectations. nqualls (1429), Nashville, Tennessee, USA

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jul 5, 2009 In the glass, it was dark copper bodied with an off white head. The nose was grapefruit, and dry wood. The taste is strange grapefruit, covered with sugar. Some bread crust notes come through with warmth. Overall, too sweet. llcooldave (328), San Antonio, Texas, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 2, 2009 Nice fruity citrus aroma with yeasty malt notes embedded in the mix. Crystal clear reddish copper in color with a malty presence on the tongue. I definitely dig the minty/citrus hops aftertaste. Overall... damn it’s surprisingly good. It could be a bit more hoppier on the end notes but it is definitely good.
