Commercial Description:
With its unique citrus character, smooth drinkability, and distinctive hop character, Drifter Pale Ale is truly an original. Brewed with generous amounts of Summit hops, a variety known for their intense citrus flavors and aromas, Drifter has a taste unique to the Pale Ale category. True to style, the bittering hops are perceptible enough to give the beer a crisp, clean, quenching finish, yet also soft enough to keep the beer smooth and balanced. 2006 GABF Silver Medal Winner

Very much like Red Seal. Hoppy, yet a nice balance of floral and bitter hops. Pours a hazy amber with white head. Notes of biscuit.

A clear amber beer with a small, dissipating off white head. Aroma is very nice fruity and flowery hops, but I’m afraid the taste doesn’t back it up. Quite watery, with just a bit of hop bitterness. Not nearly as much of a malt backbone as the appearance would seem to suggest.

In the bottle at the 2009 Pre-GNBF tasting. Amber i color with a thin white head. The aroma is really nice- a rich citrus hoppiness. The flavor has mild grapefruit rind, but the smoothness captures your attention and blends to a mild finish. This is just fine indeed.

Im absolutely loving this. Bouquet is of pine and citrus. Mouth feel is creamy and coats the mouth quite nicely. Pours much like a marzen with a deep copper or amber colour. Thick creamy head much like a stout. Tastes of pine and grass with a like a creme fresh or sour cream flavour. This beer is very exciting.

I finished my first day at GBBF 09 with yet another, flavoursome ale from the USA. Nice, deep rosewood coloured body. Fresh tropical fruity aroma. Blended flavour of resinous hops, notes of grapefruits and mid-tart berries. Pleasant dry bitter endnotes. Well balanced. One-third pint, gravicask, 04.08.2009.

The aroma is mild and hoppy. It is a dark amber color with little to no foam. It tastes like an amber with mild hoppy finish.

Ruby/copper color, aroma of malt and copper. Mildly hoppy. Standard pale ale.
