Commercial Description:
A creamy, flavorful Amber that's smooth and easy to drink. Drop Top is fermented by an American Ale yeast to produce beer with a clean flavor and fruity aroma. The velvet texture is from the use of Honey malt and a touch of milk sugar. The Magnum bittering hops provide soft bitterness, while Simcoe, a newly developed hop variety, adds unique hop flavor and aroma.

From a 12 oz bottle. Brownish, clear and no head. Smells sweet. Sizzling mild carbonation greets the palate. Pretty good kick without being very annoying. Decent beer personality without the rudeness of so many ales. Could drink again. Overall all-right beer drinken experience.

A delicious amber ale....a style I don’t appreciate often. Aroma was OK...caramel malt with an odd ginger ale-ness to it. Pour was a good medium amber with a thin off white ring for a head. Taste was nice and malty. Caramel malt with a hint of roastiness. Hops come out in the aftertaste but just enough to balance out the malt. Nice beer.

On tap at the Coney. Light malt aroma with neutral fruit. Bit of hops to it. Mild aroma overall - just a bit of oxidative notes. Deep dark amber clear with medium foamy off-white lacing head. Medium bodied with high carbonation. Starts sweet with caramel and roasted grain. Light neutral fruit and carbonic bite. A bit of oxidation taste to it. Light hop character with smooth sweet malty after.

Bottled date 043009. Poured orange with a thin off-white head. Aromas of grain, light spice, and a caramel backing. The flavor found grain and light malts. Light to medium body, sweet, and a light spiced aftertaste.

Bottle. Pour is deep golden with a little amber color but not much. Aroma is of light citrus hops. It is quite smooth and nice on the palate with flavors of bread, light caramel malt, light honey, and a smooth bitterness. Well blended brew that is nice to drink but not really an amber. Who am I, though, to downgrade for creativity?

Pours a clear copper body and a beige head with some lace. Aromas of malt and grapefruit. Malt sweetness, grapefruit, and floral flavor. Hint of dryness.

Sampled at the 8th Annual Music City Brewer’s Festival. Pours clear amber with a frothy white head. Aroma isd mild citrus and caramel. Taste is the same, not overwhelming but balanced. Creamy carbonation and a light crsip finish. Very easy to drink.

Pours gold with a fairly lasting white head. Aroma is sweet with bready malts. Flavor is quite the same. Some bitter hops present, but they’ve not that noticable. Pleasant enough to drink, with nothing really wrong with it, but it’s a bit boring and lacks much complexity.
