O.k.. this was a decent amber compared to the domestics, but not much more than that. Very nutty malty flavor characteristic of the American ambers, maybe a little more on the hoppy side though. I would drink this beer again but would prefer something else. Cheers! KAggie97 (2481), Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 1/5 | 8/20 | Apr 10, 2007 Bottle. Pours solid amber with a nice ivory head that leaves a stong layer of lacing around the glass. Peachy grapefruit aroma. Flavor is pineapple pear. Watery mouthfeel. Tastes more like cheap pineapple candy than a beer. Tejas (704), Dallas, Texas, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Apr 8, 2007 Draught > Spirit Grill. Clear light amber. No head, no aroma & no lacing. Not sweet and not bitter. Not much body. Bascially, this beer doesn’t have shit. Oh wait, it’s not offensive so I guess I could put many of these away as an alternative to BMC, assuming they’re my only other choices. GreatLibations (1454), Last Supper, Arizona, USA
| 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 5/20 | Apr 6, 2007 Pours like a new copper penny w/ minimal residual lacing. Froth comes up about a finger high then reduces quite fast. Aroma of crameled malts, biscuits, and burnt rubber. Medium nectar w/ mellow residual effers. Malty w/ a mild sweetness. Very little bittering. Nuances of caramel, hay, biscuits, and burnt rubber. Finish is only slightly bittered. Last thoughts: Not sure about the burnt rubber thing. It did seem to go awayafter she warmed. I can’t say I enjoyed it. hayduke (1677), Eureka, California, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Apr 4, 2007 Updated: Apr 5, 2007From a bottle this poured a light amber with an off-white head that left little lacing. Nose was malts, caramel, and just a touch of hops. Like most ambers this was kind of nondescript. Flavor was weak and mouthfeel too light. It was drinkable but quite unremarkable. Goodness ambers are hard to do well. iowaherkeye (1877), Los Angeles, California, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 30, 2007 On tap. Served a clear orange light brown with a film of light beige head. Aroma of toasted malts and caramel, and that’s about it. Flavor was nutty with caramel and a bit of toast--big biscuits in the finish. Minimal bitterness. Moderate carbonation and a medium body. Not too bad for a low hopped amber. sfhc21 (74), Midlothian, Texas, USA
