Clear, light amber ale with a small, fizzy, off-white head. The nose is a bit restrained, but I pick up suggestions of apricot and white pepper. Perfectly balanced flavor with toffee and gentle, spicy hops. Medium-bodied with a milky mouthfeel and soft carbonation. Short, clean finish. Thanks to kenb for the bottle! Nose is fruit, malts and hops all mixed up. Flavor was pineapple/peach flavors, lightly hopped, very decent mouthfeel with a nice balance in the malts. I enjoyed this one, refreshing and fruity. Pours amber with a decent head; the aroma is pretty nice - with a rather fruity contribution from the simcoe (peach, apple, a bit of citrus) and sweety malted (caramel, maybe a hint of honey). But the flavor is an abject disappointment. It is almost totally absent - save for a strong diacetyl blast that turns me off entirely. The mouthfeel is thin and slippery.
I could have finished it if I’d been out, but at home this was a drain pour. OhioDad (2491), Hilliard, Ohio, USA

Aroma is light caramel malts and maybe a touch of orange. Flavor is caramel malts, light orange and grassy hops and some breadlike aftertaste. Not really much there. Palate is a tad on the watery side. Pretty average all around.. Nothing offensive though. rybowen (105), Los Angeles 90039, California, USA

Nice amber color, great to look at with minimal head. Light, yet somewhat sweet body, and minimal bitterness. An easy drinker, but nothing I’d crave. kenb (1100), Oregon, USA

Clear golden/orange color. 3 finger head leaves a lot of lace. Not much aroma, some nice citrus smell. Mildly sweet orange taste. Well balanced between the malts and hops with neither really coming out on top. Thin body with a mild finish.
Good mellow beer for hot summer day. I don’t see why the low ratings...does every brew have to be overhopped or a staggerig stout? This is a very good mellow brew, and there is a time and place for that..like right now, late afternoon, very hot here in front of the PC, and my first brew of the day. Nice yummy mellow way to start the evening. unclemattie (2417), Georgia, USA
