Commercial Description:
A creamy, flavorful Amber that's smooth and easy to drink. Drop Top is fermented by an American Ale yeast to produce beer with a clean flavor and fruity aroma. The velvet texture is from the use of Honey malt and a touch of milk sugar. The Magnum bittering hops provide soft bitterness, while Simcoe, a newly developed hop variety, adds unique hop flavor and aroma.

A great beer, that I used to take for granted. With so many great beers in the Portland area (Widmer, McMennamins, Hair of the Dog, etc...) As I’ve gone around the US and tasted their beer, this one is head and shoulders over any other amber I’ve found except Smithwicks.

Another great beer from the Widmer bothers. A very nice well rounded amber ale. Good use of 2 fairly new hops and a malty balance. Worth a go!

On tap or in bottle this is a beer you dont want to miss out on. Creamy and bitterly sweet, if you can actually put that all together. Nice ale to sit down and enjoy.

This is a good amber. It pours a nice thick offwhite head. It has a lighter amber color. It has a smooth carmel flavor that is very pleasant.

Beautiful orange gold with a thin white head and decent lacing. Aroma is caramel malts with floral and earthy hops. Flavor is bitter with a well rounded sweetness. Nice and clean. Palate is creamy, smooth and just plain perfect for this style. Overall just simply amazing; incredibly easy to drink with depth.

Wonderful flavor that leans towards the malt side but has an almost subtle hop presence.

A surprisingly good beer; I was lucky to stumble across it. Nice, easy drinking amber.
