With so many great beers in the Portland area (Widmer, McMennamins, Hair of the Dog, etc...) As I’ve gone around the US and tasted their beer, this one is head and shoulders over any other amber I’ve found except Smithwicks. moped (13), East Lindfield, Australia

Good use of 2 fairly new hops and a malty balance. Worth a go! manshow (8), Spokane, Washington, USA does not count | 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Apr 9, 2004 On tap or in bottle this is a beer you dont want to miss out on. Creamy and bitterly sweet, if you can actually put that all together. Nice ale to sit down and enjoy. BarePaw (148), Pullman, Washington, USA

Aroma is caramel malts with floral and earthy hops. Flavor is bitter with a well rounded sweetness. Nice and clean. Palate is creamy, smooth and just plain perfect for this style. Overall just simply amazing; incredibly easy to drink with depth.
