Commercial Description:
A creamy, flavorful Amber that's smooth and easy to drink. Drop Top is fermented by an American Ale yeast to produce beer with a clean flavor and fruity aroma. The velvet texture is from the use of Honey malt and a touch of milk sugar. The Magnum bittering hops provide soft bitterness, while Simcoe, a newly developed hop variety, adds unique hop flavor and aroma.

On tap at the Coney. Light malt aroma with neutral fruit. Bit of hops to it. Mild aroma overall - just a bit of oxidative notes. Deep dark amber clear with medium foamy off-white lacing head. Medium bodied with high carbonation. Starts sweet with caramel and roasted grain. Light neutral fruit and carbonic bite. A bit of oxidation taste to it. Light hop character with smooth sweet malty after.

A fairly plain, middle of the road amber. No one flavor really takes over and make you notice what’s in the glass. Color is unremarkable and the aroma is pretty mild. Good but not great.

OK beer that is drinkable, but nothing really stands out.

12 oz bottle. Smells of grain, caramel malt. Pours golden amber with minimal head, decent lacing. Tastes of sweet caramel malt. I think this is the sweetest amber I’ve yet to try, actually. Highly carbonated, finishes slightly bitter. Above average amber.

Bottle. Pours amber with an off white head. Lightly sweet toffee malt aroma with a hint of hoppy bitterness. Well balanced flavor with a light sweetness and a light bitterness in the finish. Decent.

There wasn’t anything special or unique about this brew. The beer was dark in color for an amber and very lightly hopped.

Tap. Amber pour, small white head. Malt and caramel on the nose. Taste was dry, nutty, slightly fruity. Not too bad.

Tap. Amber color with nice aroma. Taste wasn’t to strong. Typical Amercian ale I’d say. Similar to the AB product.

Amber with a small white head. Weak aroma of oranges and malt. Sweet malty flavour with a faint citrus note
