If it’s intended to simply be a smooth drinking amber it’s greatest value would be as an introductory bier for newb craft bier drinkers, but the odd malt bill might throw many off.
This is the most Lager like ale I’ve ever drank. Yes it’s VERY smooth and drinkable, but it’s also borish. It reminds me of a Marzen.

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 4, 2009 Bottle @ J.C.G. Pours clear orange with a small off white creamy head. Sweet malty - toffee and buiscuit. Taste is dry and has a bit more hops than aroma (thank god). Medium bodied. Pleasant and average drink. Rynoplasty (536), Louisville, Kentucky, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 26, 2009 Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark orange-amber color with a small orange-beige head. The aroma was malty, nutty and tangy with a light fruity hop presence. The flavor was dryish, nutty and bitter with notes of caramel and fruity hops. Medium length bitter, fruity and nutty finish. Medium body. Ok. wingman333 (244), San Antonio, Texas, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Nov 24, 2009 Kind of like a Belgian amber ale. Reminds me of something I had recently called Pamlico, but this is much better, less thin, a little more depth here. Fizzy, orange flavor on the initial sip, with some bread. Decent. cheapdark (2017), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Oct 24, 2009 From a 12 oz bottle. Brownish, clear and no head. Smells sweet. Sizzling mild carbonation greets the palate. Pretty good kick without being very annoying. Decent beer personality without the rudeness of so many ales. Could drink again. Overall all-right beer drinken experience. LinusStick (1846), Moon Twp, suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 19, 2009 A delicious amber ale....a style I don’t appreciate often. Aroma was OK...caramel malt with an odd ginger ale-ness to it. Pour was a good medium amber with a thin off white ring for a head. Taste was nice and malty. Caramel malt with a hint of roastiness. Hops come out in the aftertaste but just enough to balance out the malt. Nice beer.
