aromas of malts dominate with notes of citrus, the taste is very malty but finishes with a lemony zest. a very refreshing and drinkable session beer but a bit thin on the palate

Dec 27, 2009 12 oz bottle. Aroma of banana, wheat. Hazy orange hue, minimal head, below average lacing for this style. Tastes of wheat crackers, bananas; sweet. Carbonation is light. A little spicy. Medium bodied. Typical American hefe. Better than Pyramid’s version, I think.

Dec 19, 2009 TAP: Hazy orange pour. Wheat and grain on the nose. Mild citrus, banana, and clove flavor (clove is very mild). Seems like more of a wheat than a hefeweizen.

Dec 9, 2009 Lovely hazy yellow color. The aroma is mild but pleasing. Refreshing and grainy. Not a true hefeweizen but a fine wheat beer.

Dec 5, 2009 LIght banana notes in the nose. Straw colored and cloudy. Solid white head with good retention. Flavor is light with hints of banana, citrus, and nutty yeast. Nice medium body but with an oily texture. Not highly carbonated but soft and pleasing. Pleasant, lasting acidic finish of citrus and only slightly bitter. Hefeweizens are boring in the best of times, IMO. This one is more so than most. True Hefe lovers will find little to love here. Better than most offerings at your local sports bar but not worth buying if you have a choice.

Dec 5, 2009 Tasted at Beer Dabbler event in St. Paul. I like Hefeweizens. This one is no exception. Bright wheat, citrus and bread. Just what I like.

Nov 14, 2009 A: Poured with a small, white head that diminished to a thin film. Surprisingly, some pretty good lacing left behind while drinking. Body is a dark yellow and very cloudy.
S: There’s a very light aroma of wheat and orange, but it IS pretty light, and barely detectable.
T: Very mild flavor here, not much to it at all. I can get the usual wheat and lemon flavors, but they’re quite mild. Nothing to set it apart from other hefes at all.
M: Medium-bodied, with a thin/oily texture, and average carbonation.
D: Easy to put it back, but pretty boring.

Nov 14, 2009 Bottle. Murky golden, tiny pale head. Dryish, yeasty and wheaty nose, little vanilla sweetness and coriander. Flavor is grainy malts, clean yeast, not much fruitiness, little hay and honey, overall pretty dry. Light to medium bodied, slightly slick palate. Mild wit-biery notes.
