BrewDad (1691), Olympia, Washington, USA Jun 16, 2008 Taster - Washington Brewers Festival - Kenmore, WA
Aroma – Good use of wheat malt with a nice banana and grapefruit aroma.
Appearance – Amber in color, slightly clear with a thin head.
Flavor – This had a nice malt background for flavor the hops where very light.
Palate – Good Mouthfeel, nice texture with a dry finish.
Overall – Another mass appeal beer and very little other to offer. A good wheat beer with a bready nose and just plain.
blutt59 (796), Dallas, Texas, USA Sep 26, 2008 bottle, cranberry amber pour, head is small foam, nose is banana and melon, flavor is sweet melon, bread and spice, finish is nice Indulgence (123), Ajo, Arizona, USA Sep 26, 2008 Easy soft tones of wheat, yeast and caramel malts, not an overwhelming appearance, except the color is a nice reddish copper, flavor is sweet malts and spice, palate is thin, overall a quaffer that I would not refuse if it were at a party or given to me, I’m ready for the next tasting... anders37 (2752), Malmö, Sweden Sep 22, 2008 Draught @ WABF 2008. Pours a slightly hazy dark amber color with an off-white head. Nalty wheaty caramel aroma. Sweetish wheat malty flavor with some rosated hints and some hints of caramel. Sweetish wheat malty caramel finish. stchloe (197), Portland, Oregon, USA Sep 11, 2008 A wheat beer with a different color. Interesting experiment in how grain choice affects different aspects of the ale. Bockyhorsey (2033), Mesa, Arizona, USA Sep 9, 2008 Bottle. Sweet barley malt aroma. Red body with average head. Flavor like sweet corn syrup with some dry wheat. Not a smooth drinkable beer. Sticky palate with a corn aftertaste. Should of went to bed instead of drinking this one.
