Commercial Description:
Wiedenmayer’s Jersey Lager is a re-creation of the original Jersey Lager recipe. This is a classic German-style festival beer; reddish amber in color, medium-bodied, balanced hops and malt character, crisp and clean finish. And I am just guessing at the ABV.

What a nice unexpected suprise: Nice copper color, nearly no head, soft carbonation. Rhasberry and intense honey nose. Honey and grain taste with a slight nice hoppy kick. Smokey in between and all of a sudden it finishes again with a long but light hoppy aftertaste.

Hey, where did this come from? Nice stuff. The first thing you notice is that this is a dark larger, like a bock or Märzen: ruddy copper with a low clingy head. Nose of malasses, honey - thick and broad. Caramelly malt with again honey tones. Light spicy end with a lingering bitter. Could have been more hops. Medium body. A little too sweet for me, bot overall decent.

What a nice surprise at my local liquor store. Read an article about Wiedenmayer, but generally not a lager fan (but big fan of NJ). Poured clear amber with a nice puffy head. Malty nose with hints of caramel. Mildly sweet midway through, and finishes with a slight hop bitterness. This one I will buy again, quite good.

Not a bad beer. Pours a beautiful copper color with a extra foamy head. More on the malty side than hoppy. Head pours nice and fluffy and lasts throughtout the whole drink. Overall great Jersey brew.

This one is all Jersey and all Newark...except from Upstate NY. Oh well. For a cheap lager, this was a fine overall beer. Had a nice balance of malt and hop. A solid brew.

It poured a nice amber color with little head. Smelled mostly of sweet malt with little hop. The taste... Holly Malt! Just a lot of sweet malt going on. Not balanced enough for me. As it sits, I get a little hop flavor.

On tap at Andy’s. Golden in color with a little head. Malty and hoppy aroma. Cooked vegetable nose. Malty and hoppy flavor. Crisp and refreshing.
