MiP (6732), Flensburg, Germany Nov 27, 2008 Bottle, 5.4%. Weak citric aroma. Clear dark golden colour. Stable white head. The flavour starts off citric and the turns more malty. Good mouthfeel. Ober (604), Best, Netherlands Oct 6, 2008 A bottle in a bar in Vienna. A clear yellow colored beer, with a thick foamy white head. The aroma malts and hops. The taste of fresh malts, with hops. A little bitter and a little fruity. The aftertaste is malty sweet with a little bitter. downender (1785), Bristol, Gloucestershire, England Oct 4, 2008 Bottle from Billa, Vienna. Standard strong lager. Pale gold with no head. Some sweet, corny malts were in evidence, with traces of hay and a short bitter finish. A bit dull. Slayer85 (481), Firenze, Italy Sep 28, 2008 Swing top bottle. A clear blonde beer with a medium sized and fast disappearing white head. Decent aroma, malty with some grassy hops. The flavour is sweetish, a bit unbalanced, with not many hops, especially for a Pilsner. Light to medium body, lively carbonation, dry medium finish with light to medium bitterness. A bit watery and thin, but not undrinkable. sirPino (668), Zawiercie / Żywiec, Poland Sep 3, 2008 No 530
Bottle brown, 500 ml
Appearance: Pours nice golden, perfectly clear body texture, carbonation of the body is weak, head is initially medium, quickly decreasing to small, foamy to frothy and quite firm as it lasts in a small size for a long time. There are quite nice lacing traces.
Aroma: Nice deep malty aroma, accents of raw and slightly toasted malt, notes of juice and fresh mead, honey, gentle notes of citrusy, orangy oriented and truffle or coocoo candy like hoppy top of quite noble quality, slightly winy, white wine grapes, perfume accents of hops.
Flavour: The perfumy and slighty alcoholic at front, in its hoppy profile reminding good quality Polish Premium Lagers, nice honest, sweety malty background with whipped cream, milk, again what is strickingly interesting is its untypical hoppy profile as for a Pilsener, it’s totally different from a Classic German Pilsener hoppy profile. Finish duration is medium.
Palate: Body is light, texture is rather wattery, carbonation on palate is moderate, finish feel is slighty astringent and slighty alcoholic.
