Bottle. Black, clear-looking beer with a tan head. Heavy, roasted aroma with chocolate, coffee, molasses and a little sour note. Almost full-bodied, with a flavor of chocolate, coffee, molasses, sourness, a good dash of sweetness and some dried fruits. Quite sweet but dry finish with chocolate, molasses and coffee. There’s some warming alcohol in it as well, but that’s just nice. World class beer. (070712)

Very black. Brown, dense head. Has to sit for while. Coffeeish aroma with smokey notes and some roasted malts. Powerfull licorice. Very roasted flavour with burned and lasting bitter finish. Licorice. More coffee. Underlynig malty sweetness. Very sugarsticky palate. Alcohol. Soft carbonation. Very good, very cheep. Not that complex. Prototypic old school baltic porter.

33 cl bottle. Ebony with crema around and a patch of froth. Aroma is rich and roasty with raisins, figs and licorice. Some lime zest keeps it fresh. Medium body starts very smooth with coffee, cocoa and prunes. Melts away leaving sharp bittersweet chocolate and dry pith. Everything you could want in a stout, uh porter. Quite good.

Medium darkish brown head. Opaque black body. Milky chocolatey aroma with licorice notes. Very harmonic. Salty, minty deep chocolate taste with burnt caramel notes. Soft, velvety mouthfeel. Dry, salty cocoa aftertaste. Leaves stickiness on the lips. Very nice, but a bit dry and salty. (0.33l bottle.)

(Bottle) Pours black with a brown head. Dark malt aroma with roasted and burned notes. Malt also brings dark bread, coffee, caramel, some chocolate and tar. Small notes of rust. Some prunes. Roasted, light burned flavour with concentrated coffee taste and some tone of caramel and liquorice. A bit tar-ish in the flavour as well. Some bitterness. Nice, soft and round mouthfeel. Near full body. Very nice imp with the malt in the centre.
