Bottle 0.33 l. Bough Superbrugsen Ulleroed. Dark, dark brown colour with light brown soft head. Aroma roasted malts and a touch of dark bitter chocolate. Taste bitter with a hint of smoke. Medium, smooth body. Almost at the same level as Limfjords Porter.

Bottle@olbutikken,Copenhagen. Pours black with a creamy brown lasting head & lacings. Aroma & taste is of roasted malts, coffee, a bit of smoke & chocolate. Thick to medium body - smooth. Warmth from alcohol. Roasted bitter end. Good baltic porter!

Thanks Maria for this thick bitter full stout. This 8.2% RIS had a 10-07-07 expiry date on it, does that mean its 9 months past, or is it a new way of keeping dates and there is lots of time to go. Sourness and mustiness reflecting this past due or intrinsic?

Ganske god porter, jeg er sikker på den vinder ved at ligge en 8-10 år, så prøv at købe stort ind og gem dem :-)

Bottled, BB 27-08-2007, sampled 31-03-2008. Opaque, dying brown head. Very complex nose of roasted malts, coffee and liquorice, very nice. Disappointing flavour though, initially sweet which gradually becomes astringently bitter, but where’s the complexity? Alcohol obviously present in flavour. I could smell this for hours, but tasting it is far less interesting. Disappointing.

Appearance: Pours a dark brown, near black body with a tiny, short-lived tan head. Smell: Scents of dark grains, unsweetened chocolate, and a grape-like fruitiness all wrapped up in a soil-covered earthiness. Taste: Dark, and I do mean dark, maltiness with a taste of chocolate and a medium sugary sweetness. Touch of ground spices. A grape-ish fruit flavor found in purple-colored candy, though please don’t take that as anything bad. Very earthy throughout with a medium bitterness. Roasty, earthen finish. Mouthfeel: Medium-full body. Mild carbonation. Creamy mouthfeel. Drinkability: Quite good! A breeze to finish when they’re this tasty.
