Rich, sweet dark caramely malty nose has good dark fruity complexity and some mild smoke and oxidation. Starts fairly full and sweet with some earthy dark caramel notes, raisins, and a bittersweet dark chocolate finish. Lightly smoky roasty maltiness throughout. Pretty well-balanced, complex and drinkable. shp555 (1690), Atlanta, Georgia, USA

Aroma: First off, I get: Tar, liqourice, smoke and coffee. Then after a while that fades, and all I get is raisins/prunes. Very nice, but unexpected in a porter. Flavour: Moderately bitter, a little sweet/sour. Slightly salty. Very delicious! Full bodied. Amazing how much beer, you can get for 2 bucks! KimJohansen (7136), Copenhagen V, Denmark

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jan 27, 2008 (Bottled, BBE 03/2008, thanks Timo A.!) Almost black with a medium, light brown, creamy and lacy, partly lasting head. Roasted-malty, salty-licoricey aroma with some milky sourness and black coffee. Alcohol becomes evident when warm. Roasty, very malty, dryish and moderately bitter flavor with fully hidden ABV. Some syrupy sweetness creeps up with warming. Creamy-silky, quite full-bodied, slightly sticky palate with pretty high, but smooth carbonation. A very pleasant and smooth Baltic Porter. The flavor lacks in complexity, but overall balance is great. Much easier to drink than Koff Porter. radiomgb (2068), Peterborough, Ontario, Canada
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jan 26, 2008 Deep black in colour, long lasting creamy beige coloured head, excellent lacing. The aroma is very roasty, lots of liquorice, moderate sweetness, dark chocolate, some coffee, light smoke. The flavour is quite malty, roasty, chocolate, coffee and cream, moderately bitter, moderate sweetness, some noticable alcohol. Sweet mouthfeel, medium/large body, medium/high carbonation. Finishes with some alcohol, lots of roast, some smoke. This is pretty good, excellent roast throughout, nice smoke as well. This is sweet but it never seems to overpower any aspect of the beer.

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 3, 2008 Bottle from my (no longer) secret santa storm. Thanks! Pours black with a one-finger tan head that lasts. Very nice looking danish beer with wonderful lace. Nose is fairly roasty, with some creamy milk chocolate, a hint of soy sauce, and some dark fruits. Very inviting aroma and appearance. Flavor is very well balanced with more cocoa, definite roasted coffee, a little salt, and a mild smokiness. Pretty thin mouthfeel considering the other aspects, but I dig it. Now idea how old this bottle is, but I from what I can decipher, the best by date is 8/27/07, so I’m guessing at last a couple years old. Drinking this very fast as puzzl recommends and I really like it. Alcohol is very well hidden. A great beer experience. Thanks again, Jacob!
