Aug 7, 2007 Bottled - Chris O shindig 2007 - A black beer with a smoky fishy aroma. There is soy sauce and lots of saltiness in the flavour. Found this a bit OTT and reminds me of Harveys Imp Stout.

Aug 6, 2007 Thanks to Jason Ugs for sahring. Dark pour w/ a tan head w/ lots of spotty lacing. Light roast malt aroma touch of licorice hints of a fruit I think is cocconut and a light alcohol. Palate is full well caoted and creamy. Flavor is rich and syruppy, chocolates some raisen a dry wood a touch of alcohol and a hint of aged tobacco. This is delicious.

Aug 3, 2007 Thanks Jason. BB 8/27/07. The beer pours to a dark cola body with an ultra thin light tan head. The aroma is coconut milk, rice milk, chocolate, and light coffee. The flavor is roasted coffee and has an interesting coconut and subtle tobacco. The palate is creamy and medium bodied.

Aug 3, 2007 Bottle. Deep dark brown in color with a nice off white head. Chocolatety caramel roasty aroma. Malty roasty chocolatety flavor. Coffee like roasty notes. Finish is malty and chocolatety. Complex tasting beer. Sweet tasting. Full bodied. Well balanced beer. Very nice beer. Drinkable.

Aug 2, 2007 Bottled, BB 8/27/07. Poured black with a short cap of creamy deeper beige.. settled to a looser beige ring. Aroma picked up airy coffee grounds, roasted cocoa powder, and some licorice notes.. Chuck found some coconut, but I didn’t see it. Flavor found roasted cocoa powder alcohol-fueled licorice, and molasses.. alcohol was definitely in there, but provided more of a complimentary influence.. chalky, thick chocolate and licorice ride through the finish. Medium-bodied and thicker on the back end.. heavy chocolate and licorice at the finish with a long, very roasted finish to it. Very good stuff! Thanks Rene!

Jul 31, 2007 33cl bottle, dated 27.08.07, batch 818. Near black with a brown head. Coffee and burnt malt nose, lightly smoky. Intense bitter chocolate flavor, a bit burnt, some coffee. A thick, sweet roasted malt flavor shines through after fully warming. Excellent!

Jul 27, 2007 Bottle. Black colour with a tan head. Aroma is roasted, chocolate, coffee, fruit. Flavour is roasted, smoked, fruit, hop, chocolate, coffee. Nice beer.

Jul 23, 2007 Bottle. Pitch black with a mocha colored head. Sweet, roasted coffee aroma. Chocolate.Full body and a slightly bitter aftertaste. Not bad at all.
